A wonderful spot to visit in South Cal with family. The view of the city and the hills was stunning. The exhibits could be very inspiring for children and adults who want to get some introduction to astronomy/ physics. I was particularly delighted to see (i) some statues of some great astronomers, (ii) a Foucault pendulum at the entrance hall, (iii) the shows in the planetarium. The only downside during my visit was the number of crowds in summer. We underestimated the difficulty to get a parking spot near the observatory. I would recommend future visitors to park their car in the public parking lots along the Vermont Ave and take the shuttle to the observatory.
